Defending champion Al Ittihad Alexandria (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of 32-year old South Sudanese international forward Majok Deng (205cm-84kg-1993, college: ULM). He started the season at Tasmania JackJumpers in Australian NBL league. In 26 games he recorded 11.5ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.2apg. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. The last season summer he played at Al Alhy Benghazi (D1) in Libyan league.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Deng also represented South Sudan at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) last year. During this event he scored an average of 3 points per game and had 3 rebounds per game.
He has played previously professionally also in .
Deng won Australian NBL championship title in 2024.
He graduated from University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2016 and it is his ninth season as a professional player. Deng played also for Indian Hills Community College for one year.
