Amman United (Premier League) signed 26-year-old Australian-South Sudanese center Deng Gak (208cm-101kg-1998, college: Miami, FL) for the upcoming 2024-25 season. He played last season with Willetton Tigers in the Australian NBL One. In 24 games, he averaged 9.4ppg, 7.3rpg, and 1.5apg. He played a key role in helping them win the NBL1 West title.
Gak represented Australia at the World Championships U19 in Heraklion (Greece) nine years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 4 points per game and had 4.1 rebounds per game.
He has played previously professionally in Latvia, Valmiera Glass.
He graduated from the University of Miami in 2022, and it'll be his third season as a pro player.
