Anwil Wloclawek (OBL) agreed terms with 25-year old Canadian-South Sudanese forward Emmanuel Akot (203cm-98kg-1999, college: WKU) for the new 2024-25 season. He played last season with Winnipeg Sea Bears in the Canadian CEBL. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 12 CEBL games recently, he had 11.3ppg, 3.4rpg, 2.1apg, and 1.0spg. The last season he played with (DBL) in the Dutch league. The team played in three different competitions that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. He also played 10 games in the Dutch DBL where he recorded 6.0ppg and 1.8rpg. Akot helped them win the cup and make it to the league final. Finally, he recorded 3 games in the FIBA Europe Cup where he averaged 4.3ppg and 2.3rpg.
He represented Canada at the World Championships U17 in Zaragoza (Spain) eight years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 9.9 ppg and had 2.9 rpg.
Akot was voted to All-C-USA Honorable Mention in 2023.
He graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2023 and it'll be his second season as a pro player. Akot played for other colleges like: Boise State University, University of Memphis, University of Arizona.
