Hamburg to sign Kurt Kuath

Veolia Towers Hamburg (BBL) signed 26-year-old American (who also holds a South Sudanese passport) 208cm power forward Kur Kuath (college: Marquette) for the upcoming season. He is the second import player on the roster, with USA's Brae Ivey having signed earlier. Kuath most recently played for ICG Forca Lleida in the Spanish LEB Gold, averaging 9.9ppg, 5.4rpg, and 1.3bpg in 39 games last season. He had a standout season, earning Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Gold Defensive Player of the Year, Finals MVP, and Honorable Mention honors. In the previous (2022-23) season, he played for another Spanish team, Club Ourense Baloncesto (LEB Gold), and also had a stint with GS Lavrio Aegean Cargo (GBL) in the Greek league. Kuath has been a regular member of the South Sudanese Senior National Team since 2022.
Kuath won the NJCAA D1 District I championship title in 2018.
He graduated from Marquette University in 2022 and it will be his third season in pro basketball. Kuath played for other colleges like The University of Oklahoma, Salt Lake Community College, and Western Wyoming Community College.
