Chol Marial will continue his college career at Spartans

Chol Marial

San Jose State University signed 24-year-old South Sudanese ex-international 7-2 center Chol Marial for the upcoming season. He is the second foreign player in the roster as Angolan Sadraque NgaNga signed earlier. Marial, a native of Rumbek, South Sudan, played for the last three years at Oregon State University. Last season, he averaged just 2.3ppg, 2.4rpg, and 1.0bpg in 31 games.
He played at University of Maryland between 2019-21. His team won Big Ten Regular Season Co-Championship in 2020.
He was one of the highest ranked players in high school in 2019 playing in ...five different schools. He graduated from Arizona Compass Prep School (Chandler, AZ). He also played at West Oaks Academy in 2014-15, Arlington Country Day School in 2015-16, Cheshire Academy in 2016-17, and IMG Prep Academy in 2017-18.
He also repped South Sudan at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers last year. During this event, he scored an average of ppg and had rpg.
