Deng Links A Deal To Ahly Benghazi

Majok Deng

Defending champion Al Alhy Benghazi (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old South Sudanese international 205cm forward Majok Deng (college: ULM) for The BAL 4- 2023-24 Season . Deng started the season at Tasmania JackJumpers in Australian NBL league. In 19 games he recorded 7.8ppg and 2.6rpg. He helped them to win the league title.
Deng has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He also represented South Sudan at the CBI Championship Finalist nine years ago.
Deng has played previously professionally in Australia (Adelaide 36ers, Cairns Taipans, Mount Gambier Pioneers, Cairns Marlins and Forestville Eagles) .
Among many awards he was voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian Premier League Domestic Player of the Year back in 2017.
He graduated from University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2016 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball. Deng played also for Indian Hills Community College for one year.
