Al Ahly Benghazi (D1) signed 31-year-old South Sudanese international forward Majok Deng (205cm-84kg-1993, college: ULM). He started the season at Tasmania JackJumpers in the Australian NBL league. In 18 games, he had 7.9ppg and 2.6rpg. Last summer, he played for another Australian team, Thunder (also in NBL).
He tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He also repped South Sudan at FIBA World Cup in Philippines-Japan-Indonesia last year. His stats: 5 games, 10.2ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.0spg, 1.0bpg, FGP: 76.5%, 3PT: 19.0%, FT: 81.3%.

He graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2016 and is in his eighth season as a professional player. He also played for Indian Hills Community College for one year.
