Nuni Omot

Ningbo Rockets (CBA) have agreed terms with 29-year-old American small forward Nuni Omot (204cm-91kg-1994, college: Baylor), who also holds a USA-South Sudanese passport. He started the season at Chorale de Roanne Basket in French Betclic ELITE ProA, where in four games he averaged 9.3ppg and 2.5rpg. Last season, he played for various teams, ending the season at Al Ahly (Superleague) in the Egyptian league. Omot has also played for Osceola Magic (formerly known as Lakeland Magic) and the Knicks in the NBA G League.
He is a very experienced player. His career has taken him to four continents and he has played in eight countries. He has played professionally in France, Germany (46ers), Holland (ZZ Leiden), Poland (Trefl), Puerto Rico (Leones), Turkey (Tofas), North Macedonia (MZT Skopje) and NBA G League (Westchester Knicks and Long Island Nets).
He won the Basketball Africa League championship title in 2023. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Honorable Mention in 2022.
He graduated from Baylor University in 2018 and is in his sixth season as a pro player. He also played for Indian Hills Community College and Concordia University St. Paul.
