Madut Akec (ex Cair 2030) is a newcomer at Al Karameh

Madut Akec

Al Karameh Homs (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old Australian-South Sudanese forward Madut Akec (201cm-89kg-1999, college: Detroit). Akec is the second import player in the roster as USA Dewarick Spencer signed here earlier.
He started the season at Cair 2030 Skopje in North Macedonian Prva Liga. In two games he recorded 12.5ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.0apg, 1.5spg and 1.0bpg.
Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Canada, Cyprus (Etha) and Australia (Knox Raiders).
He won Australian NBL1 National championship title in 2023.
Akec graduated from University of Detroit Mercy in 2022 and it is his second season as a professional player. He played also for University of South Florida for 3 years.
