Sagesse inks Deng Acuoth

Deng Acuoth

Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (LBL) has reached an agreement with Deng Acuoth, a 27-year-old Australian-South Sudanese center. Acuoth, who stands at 208cm and weighs 100kg, recently played for Al Arabi in the Qatari QBL league. In 10 games this season, he averaged 9.0 points per game, 9.9 rpg, 1.0 apg, and 1.7 bpg. Prior to his time in Qatar, Acuoth also played for Al-Muharraq in the Premier League of Bahrain.
He's a highly experienced player, having played in four countries across three continents: Europe, Asia, and Australia. In Australia, he has played for teams such as the Adelaide 36ers, Kings, Tigers, Ballarat Miners, and Knox Raiders. Additionally, he has played professionally in Bahrain and Georgia for Margveti.
In 2022, he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Caucasus Basketball League Defensive Player of the Year.
