The Trail Blazers ink Duop Reath

Portland Trail Blazers (NBA) agreed terms with 27-year old Australian-South Sudanese international center Duop Reath (6'11''-257lbs-1996, college: LSU) for new 2023-24 season. Reath played this summer at Portland Trail Blazers. He managed to play in four leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In 5 NBA Summer League games just recently he had 13.0ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.4apg, 1.2spg and 1.6bpg. The last season he played at Al Riyadi in Lebanese league where in 8 NBA Summer League games he recorded very impressive stats: 25.5ppg, 9.6rpg, 1.6apg and 1.5bpg. Reath helped them to make it to the West Asia Super League Final 8 final. He also played 10 games in Lebanese LBL where he was league's fourth best scorer with remarkable 21.4ppg and averaged 9.9rpg (#5 in the league), 1.1apg and 2.5bpg. Reath contributed to his team winning the Lebanese League title. 2022-23 was a great season as he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Finals MVP, named to All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week. The other team he played that season for was Eagles in Chinese CBA. In 39 NBA Summer League games he got high stats: 18.2ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.3apg, 1.2spg and 2.0bpg. Good season as he was also here named League Player of the Week.
He has never been drafted by the NBA.
Reath has been also a member of Australian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Australian senior team since 2021 and previously for University National Team back in 2017.
Reath also represented Australia at the Olympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) two years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 4 games: 2.8ppg.
He has played on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America). Reath has played previously professionally in Serbia (Crvena Zvezda and KK FMP Meridian Beograd), Australia (Hawks) and NBA Summer League (Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns).
He graduated from Louisiana State University in 2018 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player. Reath played also for Lee College for 2 years.
