Makol Mawien (ex Chernomorets) is a second import added to the roster of Mornar

KK Mornar-Barsko Zlato Bar (Erste Liga) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old South Sudanese 206cm power forward Makol Mawien (college: of Kansas State) for season 2023-24. Mawien is the second import player in the roster as USA Dwight Murray Jr. signed here earlier.
He played most recently at Chernomorets in Bulgarian NBL league. In 39 games he recorded 10.4ppg, 8.1rpg (#4 in the league), 1.2apg and 1.3bpg last season. He helped them to make it to the Bulgarian League final and Cup semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Honorable Mention.
The previous (2021-22) season he played at KB Rahoveci in Kosovan Superliga where in 8 games he averaged 13.6ppg, 9.4rpg, 1.0spg and 2.1bpg in that year. He also played 5 games in Liga Unike where he had very impressive stats: 15.6ppg, 11.8rpg and 3.0bpg in that year. The other team he played shortly was Zaporizhye in Ukrainian Superleague. In four games he got 5.5ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.0bpg in that year. Another team he played that season for was Al Nassr in Saudi Arabian SBL. In 8 games he got remarkable 21.1ppg, 13.4rpg and 2.5bpg in that year.
Mawien has played previously professionally also in Finland (Kipina).
He graduated from of Kansas State in 2020 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball. Mawien played also for New Mexico Junior College for one year.
