Joondalup-City-Wanneroo-Wolves (NBL1 West) landed experienced 35-year old South Sudanese-Australian international 196cm swingman Mathiang Muo (college: Charleston Southern) for upcoming season. Muo played last summer at Geraldton Buccaneers. In 21 NBL1 West games he averaged impressive 16.5ppg, 4.7rpg, 2.1apg and 1.3spg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. Muo has been regularly called to South Sudanese Senior National Team since 2016.
He has played previously professionally in Australia (Chargers, Perth Wildcats, Giants, Eagles and Bendigo Braves) and New Zealand (Huskies).
Among many awards he received Australiabasket.com All-Australian SEABL Player of the Year award and Australiabasket.com All-Australian SEABL Domestic Player of the Year award back in 2017.
He graduated from Charleston Southern in 2013 and it will be his eleventh season in pro basketball.
