BNL Round 5 (Second Stage): Magic is defeated by Panthers in a derby game - Oct 20, 2018

Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Johannesburg: Panthers (#1) and Magic (#2). Panthers (5-0) won against visiting Magic (3-3) 68-63. Undefeated Panthers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. Magic at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Panthers are looking forward to face Mountaineers (#3) in Cape in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Magic will have a break next round.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Mbombela. 3rd placed host Rhinos (2-3) were smashed by leader Suns (6-0) 78-57. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Suns. Defending champion maintains first place with 6-0 record. Rhinos at the other side keep the third position with three games lost. They share it with W.C. Mountaineers. Suns will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rhinos will play at home against the league's second-placed Marlins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Jozi Nuggets repeated as Johannesburg Basketball League title. They faced MBB Kegs for the trophy. Jozi Nuggets grabbed the lead early in the game and maintained it until the final buzzer winning it 70-61. Neo Mothiba (200-F/G-82) was named the Final MVP.
