BNL Round 5: Magic keeps a leadership position - Sep 15, 2018

Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Magic as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Magic edged bottom-ranked Limpopo Pride in Johannesburg 72-70. Magic have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Kwazulu Marlins and W.C. Mountaineers. Limpopo Pride at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with E.C. Windbreakers and N.C. Zebras.
Important game to mention about took place in Tshwane. Sixth ranked Rhinos (2-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Suns (3-2) 65-62 on Saturday evening. Rhinos maintains sixth place with 2-3 record. Defending champion Suns keep the fifth position with two games lost.
Fourth ranked Panthers (4-1) crushed at home 7th ranked Eagles (1-4) by 58 points 103-45, which is the biggest margin this round on Friday night. Panthers maintains fourth place with 4-1 record. Loser Eagles keep the seventh position with four games lost.

Jozi Nuggets repeated as Johannesburg Basketball League title. They faced MBB Kegs for the trophy. Jozi Nuggets grabbed the lead early in the game and maintained it until the final buzzer winning it 70-61. Neo Mothiba (200-F/G-82) was named the Final MVP.
