Christopher Gabriel (ex Naestved) joins Stockolmo - May 19, 2018

Stockholmo Montevideo (Metropolitan) agreed terms with 29-year old South African center Christopher Gabriel (211-125kg-88, college: San Diego). He moved there from played at Team FOG Naestved in Danish BasketLigaen where he started the season. In 28 games he had 8.5ppg and 4.6rpg this season. Gabriel helped them to make it to the semifinals.
The most of last season he spent at TSU-Hyundai (Superleague) in Georgia. In 15 games he recorded 13.7ppg and 9.2rpg. Gabriel contributed to his team ending the regular season as at the second position in the league. Quite impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Georgian A League 3rd Team. He also spent pre-season at Hopsi Polzela (Liga NovaKBM) in Slovenian league that year.
Gabriel represented South Africa at the Afrobasket Championships last year. His stats at that event were 3 games: 4.3ppg, 6.7rpg.
Gabriel is a very experienced player.
He graduated from University of San Diego in 2012 and it is his sixth season as a professional player.

Soweto Panthers - Egoli Magic 84:58 Soweto Panthers have been crowned BNL champions. They beat Egoli Magic in the Final tonight. Reece Prinsloo (203-C-91) stepped up with 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge. Soweto dominated from start to finish. They grabbed a 41:22 halftime advantage.
