The Regular Season in BNL just started.

Marlins (1-1) recorded a loss in Kwazulu on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Suns (1-1) 71-64. Suns is looking forward to face Rhinos (#10) in Mbombela in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Marlins will have a break next round.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Cape. Local Mountaineers (2-0) outscored Eagles (0-2) 113-45. Mountaineers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Eagles will play at home against E.C. Windbreakers (#8) to get more than just one victory in their record.

Other games of round 1 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
N.C. Zebras lost to undefeated Limpopo Pride in a road game 51-66. N.C. Zebras lost to Soweto P. at home 47-88. Kwazulu Marlins destroyed NW Eagles on the opponent's court 91-52. W.C. Mountaineers managed to outperform Mpumalanga R. in a home game 86-68. Tshwane S. lost to Egoli Magic on the road 50-59. Mpumalanga R. lost to Soweto P. on its own court 45-83.

Kwazulu Marlins - Tshwane S. 64-71

Marlins (1-1) recorded a loss in Kwazulu on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Suns (1-1) 71-64. Suns is looking forward to face Rhinos (#10) in Mbombela in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Marlins will have a break next round.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with N.C. Zebras' (0-2) road loss to Limpopo Pride (1-0) 51-66. Limpopo Pride will play against Panthers in Johannesburg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. N.C. Zebras will have a break next round.

But Eagles were not able to use a home court advantage and were rolled over by the opponent from Kwazulu 91-52. Very predictable result in Cape where Mountaineers (2-0) beat Rhinos (0-2) 86-68. Mountaineers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rhinos will play against Suns (#5) in Tshwane to get more than just one victory in their record.

Egoli Magic - Tshwane S. 59-50

Not a big story in a game in Johannesburg where Suns (1-1) were defeated by Magic (1-0) 59-50. Magic will play against Eagles (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Suns will play against Rhinos (#10) to get more than just one victory in their record.

Mpumalanga R. - Soweto P. 45-83

Everything went according to plan in Mbombela where Panthers (2-0) outleveled Rhinos (0-2) 83-45. Panthers will play against Limpopo Pride (#4) in the next round. Rhinos will play against Suns (#5) in Tshwane to get more than just one victory in their record.
