Soweto Panthers - Egoli Magic 84:58 Soweto Panthers have been crowned BNL champions. They beat Egoli Magic in the Final tonight. Reece Prinsloo stepped up with 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge. Soweto dominated from start to finish. They grabbed a 41:22 halftime advantage. The Panthers used a 24:12 run in the third term to take a comfortable 31-point lead. Egoli dropped 24 points in the fourth quarter but could not avoid the loss. Soweto Panthers and Egoli Magic advanced into the League championship game. They earned victories in today's semifinal clashes. Soweto defeated Kwazulu Marlins 72:41 in the first semifinal. Dinesh Mitchell (190-G-80) recorded 18 points to lead the winners. Tatenda Maturure (G/F-98) had 14 points for the Panthers. Ben Constable replied with 9 points for the Marlins. BNL Round 6 of Second Stage - 25 days ago
Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most interesting game of round 6 was a home defeat of 4th ranked Eagles (1-5) to third ranked Mountaineers (2-4) 93-82 in the game for the third place. Mountaineers maintains third position with 2-4 record having four points less than leader E.C. Windbreakers, which they share with Mpumalanga R. Eagles lost third consecutive game.
