Somalia's Faisal Aden (193-G-89, college: Washington St.) netted 32 points and pulled seven boards to clinch the semi-final ticket for his country. Barstow Community College's Abdi Faras (203) added another 28 and 9 in the 98-80 rout while Yusuf Qaafow (190-G-87) chipped in 12 for the unbeaten newcomers who are facing Rwanda in their next match-up for the Zone 5 crown.
Rwanda emerged as winners out of their game against the hosts from Tanzania, whom they beat 70-56 behind 28 points by Kenny Wilson (193-G-84, college: Boise St.) and 24 points of Brad Cameron (193-G), their U.S. American imports.
Egypt edged Uganda 80-67 to finish its group on top. They are going against Kenya in the other semi-final game and the Pharaohs are the team to beat in this tourney.

Keravnos Strovolou (Division A) signed 31-year old Somalian ex-international forward Mohamed Abukar (208-85, college: San Diego State, agency: Two Points). He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Abukar played last season at Sigal Prishtina in Kosovan SuperLeague. He managed to play in three leagues last year.
