Sylla re-signs at Tours

Abdel Kader Sylla

Union Tours Metropole Basket (NM1) confirmed in their roster 33-year old Seychellois ex-international center Abdel Kader Sylla (204cm-1990) for new 2023-24 season. Sylla played there last season. In 33 NM1 games he had 8.2ppg, 6.2rpg and 3.4apg. NM1 will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
The previous (2021-22) season he played at Hermine Nantes Atlantique (ProB) where in 33 games he recorded just 2.7ppg and 2.9rpg in that year. He was a member of Seychellois Senior National Team back in 2011.
Sylla has played also professionally in Switzerland (Neuchatel), France (Pau Lacq Orthez, Monaco, Sluc Nancy, Hyeres-Toulon and JL Bourg) and Seychelles (Cobras).
His team won French ProB Leaders Cup in 2020.
On Sylla: An hard worker, long armed, very athletic inside player. Has good moves around the basket, intimidates the opponents and can finish with thunderous dunks. Even after having done great improvements in last season, observers say he has yet a tremendous upside. Has dreams of getting drafted and playing in the NBA, maybe that they will come true.
