Moustapha Thiam commits to Michigan

The University of Michigan agreed terms with 20-year-old Senegalese center Moustapha Thiam (7'2''-235lbs). Thiam moved there from the University of Cincinnati, where he spent his freshman year. In 20 games last season, he had 13.0ppg, 8.3rpg, and 1.9bpg. Thiam was named to the All-Big 12 Conference Honorable Mention in 2026.
He played at DME Sports Academy between 2022-25 and then at University of Central Florida for one season.
Thiam graduated from DME Sports Academy (Daytona Beach, FL) in 2024.
