Sendai 89ers (B1 League) have signed 29-year-old Senegalese ex-international 213cm center Boubacar Toure (college: EMU) for the upcoming season. He last played for Rio Breogan in the Spanish Liga Endesa, where he averaged 5.3ppg and 3.1rpg in 13 games last season. Toure also had a stint with the Flying Leopards (CBA) in the Chinese league. He represented the Senegalese Senior National Team between 2021 and 2022.
He is a very experienced player. Toure has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played professionally in China, France (Chorale de Roanne) and Turkey (Tofas).
Among many awards, his team was the regular season runner-up in WAC in 2016. Toure was voted to the MAC All-Defensive Team back in 2020.
