Portimonense (Proliga) signed experienced 39-year-old Senegalese ex-international center Bamba Fall (215cm-107kg-1986, college: SMU, agency: Players Group) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. He is the second foreign player on the roster, with Canadian Jayden Grewal having signed earlier. Fall has played for the last two seasons at Bueno Arenas Albacete Basket in the Spanish Segunda FEB. In 26 games last season, he averaged 7.2ppg, 5.2rpg, and 1.3bpg.
In 2010, a year after graduating, he was drafted by the Reno Bighorns (D-League) as the #1 pick overall.
He graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2009 and it'll be his 17th season in pro basketball. He was a member of the Senegalese Senior National Team back in 2007.
Fall is a very experienced player. He has played in seven different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America). Fall has played professionally in Estonia (Kalev/Cramo and Tallinn Kalev), Iran (Azad), Israel (Hapoel Gilboa Galil), Kosovo (Sigal Prishtina), Latvia (VEF Riga), Spain (Coviran Granada, Melilla, Alicante, and Zunder Palencia), and NBA G League (Stockton and Maine Celtics).
Fall's team reached the LEB Oro Play-Off Semifinals in 2022. It's very likely he will retire at Portimonense.
as a man who always finds a balance between work and play. He manages his time effectively, ensuring that he is productive during the day and enjoys his leisure time in the evenings. His ability to strike a balance between responsibilities and relaxation is truly admirable.
A tall and lanky player with great upside. Has a very skinny body, but plays hard and understands the game. Rebounds and shot-blocking are his best skills, but he should add a reliable shot and beef up a lot more.
