Urunani (D1) agreed terms with 24-year old Senegalese international point guard Jean-Jacques Boissy (183cm-2000). He played last season at Douanes in Senegalese N1M league. In 8 Basketball Africa League games just recently he had 10.9ppg, 5.0rpg, 4.9apg and 1.8spg. He helped them to make it to the quarterfinals. The last season he played at Aurore de Vitre (NM1) in French league.
Boissy has been also a member of the Senegalese international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Senegalese senior team since 2022 and previously for the Under 19 National Team back in 2019.
Boissy also represented Senegal at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers last year. His team won Silver and he had over 5 points per game.
He is quite experienced player. Boissy has played also in France, Spain (Cornella) and Rwanda (United Generation Basketball Kigali). Boissy's team won Senegalese League Group A Regular Season in 2024.
Among many awards he was voted to Afrobasket.com Basketball Africa League All-Defensive Team in 2023.
