Grengewald lands Aziz Ndiaye

Aziz Ndiaye

Grengewald Hostert (Nationale 2) landed experienced 36-year old Senegalese ex-international 213cm center Aziz Ndiaye (college: Washington). He played most recently at AB Contern in the LBBL. In 23 Luxembourg games he averaged 8.7ppg, 9.0rpg and 1.2spg in 2022-23 year. Nationale 2 will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. He can count that season as a very successful as was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Luxembourg League Honorable Mention.
Ndiaye has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
He was a member of the Senegalese international program for some years. Ndiaye was called to Senegalese Senior National Team back in 2007 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2008.
He has played previously professionally in Germany (Skyliners) and Japan (Dragonflies).
His team was regular season runner-up in Japanese B League D2 West Division in 2017.
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Grengewald.
Ndiaye graduated from University of Washington in 2013 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball. He played also for College of Southern Idaho for one year.
