Cheikh Mbodj (ex Bambitious N.) agreed terms with Diablos- August 29, 2024
He also represented Senegal at the FIBA World Cup 2019 Qualifiers five years ago. Mbodj's team won Bronze and he had over 6 ppg. Mbodj is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career, he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America) in six different countries. He has played professionally in France (Pau Lacq Orthez), Greece (Ilysiakos), Italy (Cantu and Sassari), Latvia (Ventspils), and Poland (Twarde Pierniki and Czarni). Among many awards, his team won the Japanese B League D2 West Division Regular Season in 2021. Mbodj was also selected to Eurobasket.com All-Polish League Center of the Year back in 2016. He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Diablos. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2013 and it will be his 12th season in pro basketball. He also played for Grayson County College for 3 years.
