Germani Brescia Leonessa (Serie A) signed 32-year-old Senegalese ex-international power forward Maurice Ndour (206cm-107kg-1992, college: Ohio) for the upcoming 2024-25 season. He played last season at Lokomotiv in the Russian VTB United League. In 22 games, he had 8.1ppg, 4.3rpg, and 1.0apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Ndour also played for Hapoel Jerusalem (Winner League) in the Israeli league.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015.
Ndour was also a member of the Senegalese international program for some years. He played for Senegalese Senior National Team between 2014 and 2021 and previously for the Under 18 National Team back in 2012.
Ndour also represented Senegal at the World Cup in China five years ago. Ndour's team won Bronze and he had over 10 ppg.
He is a very experienced player. Ndour has played in nine different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America). He has played professionally in China (Golden Bulls and Guangxi), Israel, Japan (Dolphins), Lithuania (Rytas), Spain (Real Madrid and Valencia), Turkey (Galatasaray), NBA (Dallas Mavericks and NY Knicks), and NBA G League (Westchester Knicks).
He was voted Eurobasket.com All-VTB League Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 among many awards.
Ndour graduated from Ohio University in 2015 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player. He played also for Monroe College for one year.
