Bilbao adds Sylla to their roster

Surne Bilbao Basket (Liga Endesa) added 22-year old Senegalese international power forward Amar Sylla (206cm-86kg-2001) to their roster for the 2024-25 season. He played last season at Basketball Loewen Braunschweig in the German BBL league, where he averaged 4.6ppg and 4.8rpg in 34 games. During the previous (2023) summer, he played for the Pistons in the U.S. semi-pro league NBA Summer League.
He has been a member of the Senegalese international program for some years. Sylla has regularly played for the Senegalese senior team since 2020 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2019.
He also represented Senegal at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers last year. Sylla's team won Silver and he averaged nearly 2 ppg.
Sylla is a very experienced player. He has played in Belgium (Oostende), Germany, Lithuania (Nevezis), Spain (Real Betis, Real Madrid 2nd team and Real Madrid), and NBA Summer League (Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic).
In addition to these achievements, Sylla was named the MVP of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) in 2021.
