Abdoulaye Gueye agreed terms with TED Ankara

TED Kolejliler Ankara (TBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old Senegalese 206cm center Abdoulaye Gueye (college: Georgia Tech) for season 2024-25. Gueye is not a newcomer in Turkish League as he played most recently at Sigortam.net. In 43 TBL games in Turkey he recorded 11.1ppg, 6.7rpg, 1.5apg and 1.1spg last season. He helped them to make it to the Turkish TBL final after they ended regular season as second best team. A very spectacular year in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TBL Honorable Mention.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Samsun where in 37 TBL games he averaged 12.1ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.5apg and 1.3bpg in that year. Gueye contributed to his team winning the TBL title.
He has played previously professionally also in Israel (Ramat Gan, Maccabi Ashdod/Be'er Tuvia and Elitzur Maccabi Netanya) and Turkey (Final Spor and Konyaspor).
Among many awards he was selected Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TBL Defensive Player of the Year back in 2020.
Gueye graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2019 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
