PBC CSKA Moscow (VTB United League) confirmed in their roster experienced 34-year old French-Senegalese ex-international power forward Amath M'Baye (205cm-98kg-1989, college: Oklahoma) for the new 2024-25 season. He is the second foreign player in the roster as USA Casper Ware signed here earlier. He played there last season. In 50 VTB United League games, he had 12.8ppg, 4.0rpg, and 2.2apg. He helped them to win the VTB United League championship. A very impressive season as he was named to the VTB United League All-Star Game. The previous (2022-23) season he played at Efes (BSL) in the Turkish league. He also played 25 games in the Turkish BSL where he recorded 12.1ppg, 5.3rpg, and 1.2apg in that year.
M'Baye has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015.
He was also a member of the French international program for some years. M'Baye played for French Senior National Team between 2018 and 2022 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2009.
He also represented France at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers last year. M'Baye's team won Bronze and he had over 6 ppg.
His career allowed him to visit three different continents. M'Baye tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Italy (Armani Milano, Brindisi, and Virtus Bologna), Japan (Dolphins), and Turkey (Pinar Karsiyaka).
He was voted to Asia-Basket.com Japanese NBL All-Imports Team in 2015.
M'Baye graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2013 and it will be his twelfth season as a professional player. He also played for the University of Wyoming for 2 years.
