Pape Diop signs at Vichy Clermont

Jean D'Arc Vichy Clermont Metropole (ProB) signed 28-year-old Senegalese ex-international 202cm forward Pape Diop (college: Cape Breton) for the upcoming season. Diop spent the last two years playing for Andrezieux Boutheon Loire Sud Basket in the NM1, where he averaged 12.9ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.7apg, and 1.5spg in 31 games last season. He represented the Senegalese Senior National Team during the years 2019 and 2021.
Diop has traveled quite extensively during his pro career, playing in Latvia, Senegal, and Estonia. He has played for teams in three different continents - Europe, Africa, and North America.
Diop's team reached the NM1 Play-Offs Semifinals in 2023. He was selected for the Eurobasket.com French NM1 All-Imports Team in 2023.
He graduated from Cape Breton University in 2018 and it'll be his seventh season in pro basketball.
