Defending champion Gladiadores de Anzoategui (SPB) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old Senegalese-American ex-international 206cm center Malik Dime (college: Washington, agency: Slash Sports). It is actually his comeback to Caracas as he has played here before. Dime played most recently at Coviran Granada in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 15 games he recorded 4.7ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.1bpg last season. He also played for Penarol in Uruguayan LUB where in 11 games he averaged 11.1ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.0spg and 2.4bpg. Dime was a member of Senegalese Senior National Team between 2020 and 2022.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in fourteen different countries. Dime has played previously professionally in Bosnia (Vogosca), Bulgaria (Rilski), Finland (Ura Basket), Germany, Greece (Lavrio), Israel (Maccabi Effie Capital Rishon Le-Zion), Italy (Cremona), Russia (Parma-Pari), Ukraine (Kyiv Basket), Venezuela (Guaros), NBA G League (NAZ Suns), Turkey (Bornova) and The Basketball Tournament (Carmen's Crew).
He graduated from University of Washington in 2017 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball. Dime played also for Indian Hills Community College for 2 years.
