We bring you last week's top performances from Senegalese players who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former U18 international center Youssoupha Fall (221-95, currently plays in France). He was the major contributor in a SIG Strasbourg's victory against the 12th-ranked Le Portel (13-20) 87-73 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA in Sunday night's game. Fall scored 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 22 minutes on the court. SIG Strasbourg (19-14) is placed sixth in the Jeep ELITE ProA. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Fall has relatively good stats this year: 14.8ppg, 8.7rpg, 1.5bpg, 2FGP: 68.8%(181-263) and FT: 62.3% in 29 games he played so far. He played for the Senegalese U18 national team seven years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced international forward Mouhammad Faye (207-85, college: SMU, currently plays in Serbia). Faye led Crvena Zvezda to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Dunav SB (0-6) crushing them 91-65 in the Serbian KLS last Wednesday. He scored 11 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd (6-0) is placed first in Group A. So far his team won all six games in the Second Stage. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. It's Faye's first season with the team. This year Faye averages: 6.4ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 83.3%, 3FGP: 31.3% and FT: 63.6%. He is in the roster of the Senegalese senior national team.

   #3. The Senegalese player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center Moussa Diagne (211-94, currently plays in Spain). He led Andorra to a victory against the closely-ranked La ICL Manresa (16-16) 77-64 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Friday night. Diagne had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 16 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 27 minutes. MoraBanc Andorra (16-17) is placed tenth in the Liga Endesa. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Diagne's overall stats are: 8.3ppg, 6.1rpg, 2FGP: 59.0%(79-134) and FT: 74.2% in 30 games. He has a dual citizenship: Senegalese and Spanish. Worth to mention Diagne played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Diagne played for the Senegalese national team three years ago.

Center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure, currently plays in France) contributed to a JL Bourg's victory against the closely-ranked JSF Nanterre (23-10) 75-70 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA on Monday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Ndoye also added 2 blocks. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. JL Bourg Basket (29-4) is placed second in the Jeep ELITE ProA. It was his team's 13th consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. This season Ndoye has relatively solid stats: 13.8ppg, 8.6rpg and 1.4bpg. He is also Senegalese national team player.

Former international point guard Clevin Hannah (179-87, agency: BeoBasket, college: Wichita St., currently plays in Spain) helped Gran Canaria win their game against one of league's weakest teams Leche Rio Breogan (9-21) 92-77 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Hannah scored 13 points and added 8 passes in 27 minutes. Herbalife Gran Canaria (13-20) is placed 12th in the Liga Endesa. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Hannah has reliable stats this year: 11.8ppg, 1.6rpg and 4.5apg in 24 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Senegalese and American. Hannah used to play for the Senegalese national team two years ago.

Center Hamady N'Diaye (213-87, college: Rutgers, currently plays in Italy) helped Sidigas AV win their game against the league outsider Pistoia Basket (6-24) 88-75 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. He scored 6 points, had 8 rebounds and made 3 blocks. Sidigas Avellino (16-14) is placed ninth in the Serie A. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. N'Diaye's total stats this season are: 5.7ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.8bpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Senegalese National Team roster.

   #7. Former international power forward Ibrahima Faye (207-97, currently plays in Belgium) could not help Leuven Bears (10-25) in their last game. Despite Faye's very good performance Leuven Bears was edged 90-89 on the road by the higher-ranked (#6) Limburg United. He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Faye also added 9 rebounds, passed 3 assists and added 5 blocks in 33 minutes. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Faye's stats this year are: 11.8ppg, 9.1rpg, 1.1apg and 1.5bpg in 33 games. He used to play for the Senegalese national team three years ago.

   #8. Power forward Jules Aw (202-86, currently plays in Switzerland) was not able to help Massagno (5-4) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Aw's very good performance the third-placed Massagno (5-4) was defeated 84-71 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Monthey (#4) in the Places 1-6 group. He recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 14 rebounds. Aw has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.6ppg, 11.5rpg, 1.6apg and 1.7spg. Aw plays currently for the Senegalese national team.

   #9. International power forward Babacar Toure (205-85, currently plays in Switzerland) helped Fribourg win their game against the third-ranked Boncourt (2-2) crushing them 90-67 in the Swiss SBL on Saturday night. He scored 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6. Fribourg Olympic (5-0) is placed first. So far his team won all five games in the Quarter-Finals. This season Toure has very high stats. He averages: 15.8ppg, 9.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2bpg. Toure is also in the roster of the Senegalese national team.

   #10. Point guard Xane d'Almeida (181-83, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Charleville-Mezieres (12-6) in their last game. Despite d'Almeida's very good performance Charleville-Mezieres (#3) lost 89-94 in Tours to the second-ranked Union in the Places 11-20 group. He was the top scorer with 20 points. d'Almeida also added 7 rebounds and 9 assists in 37 minutes. His team will play only one more game in the Second Stage. d'Almeida has very impressive stats this year: 15.4ppg, 4.6rpg, 7.2apg and 1.3spg in 35 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Senegalese National Team roster.

   #11. U18 international center Biram Faye (206-0, currently plays in Spain) led Fontedoso Carrefour to a victory over the 11th-ranked Vic 85-74 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) in Saturday night's game. Faye was MVP of the game. He recorded 14 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Faye averaged so far 11.3ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.5bpg. He plays currently for the Senegalese U18 national team.

   #12. Former international forward Antoine Mendy (198-83, currently plays in France) couldn't help Lille Metropole (13-20) in their last game. Despite Mendy's good performance Lille Metropole lost 81-95 in Rouen to the second-ranked SPO Rouen. He scored 14 points in 22 minutes. This year Mendy's total stats are: 8.5ppg and 3.1rpg in 14 games. He used to play for the Senegalese national team back in 2017.

   #13. Former international guard Ousmane Gueye (192-82, currently plays in Italy) helped Chieti win their game against the third-ranked Salerno 92-89 in the Italian Serie B (third division) on Sunday night. Gueye recorded 15 points. Gueye averaged so far 10.1ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.4apg. He used to play for the Senegalese national team eight years ago.

   #14. International center Cheikh Mbodj (208-87, agency: Octagon Europe, college: Cincinnati, currently plays in Poland) managed to help Polski Cukier Torun in a victory against the closely-ranked Stelmet Enea BC 88-77 in the Polish EBL in Friday night's game. Mbodj recorded only one point in 9 minutes on the court. Mbodj averaged so far 11.0ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.1apg and 1.6bpg in 31 games. He plays currently for the Senegalese national team.

   #15. International forward Moustapha Diop (203-89, currently plays in France) helped Etoile Angers win their game against the eighth-ranked Feurs EF crushing them 95-71 in the French NM1 (third division) on Sunday night. He recorded 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in a mere 18 minutes. Diop has averaged so far 5.7ppg and 3.0rpg in 32 games. He is also in the roster of the Senegalese national team.


The list of other players, who all have Senegalese passport but never been selected to any of Senegalese national teams:

   #1. Amath M'Baye (206-F-89, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in a Virtus Bologna's victory against the closely-ranked Openjobmetis VA (16-14) 84-73 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. He scored 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Virtus Segafredo Bologna (15-15) is placed 11th in the Serie A. The Regular Season already ended. M'Baye's total stats this season are: 10.0ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.4apg. He has a dual citizenship: Senegalese and French.

   #2. Experienced Ibou Dianko Badji (218-C-2, currently plays in Spain) led Barca Lassa to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Joventut (16-15) crushing them 92-60 in the Spanish U19 Championship (fifth division) last Friday. Dianko Badji recorded 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks in 21 minutes. Barca Lassa U19 teamis placed in the U19 Championship. This year Dianko Badji's total stats are: 10.0ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.4apg in 30 games he played so far.

   #3. Mouhamed Barro (205-F-95, currently plays in Spain). He could not help Gipuzkoa (9-22) to beat Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (11-20). Barro scored 8 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 17 minutes. The bottom-ranked Gipuzkoa was edged 70-69 on the road by the higher-ranked (#13) Baloncesto Fuenlabrada. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. This year Barro's total stats are: 4.4ppg and 2.4rpg in 25 games.

   #4. Malik Dime (206-F/C-92, college: Washington, currently plays in Bulgaria) was not able to help Rilski in their game against Levski Lukoil (22-2) in the Bulgarian NBL. He scored 6 points, had 5 rebounds and made 6 blocks in 20 minutes. Rilski lost 77-84 at home to the leading Levski Lukoil. Dime averaged so far 13.0ppg, 8.5rpg and 2.6bpg in 20 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Senegalese and American.

   #5. Mamadou Niang (209-C-94, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams CB Canarias (18-15) in their game against Unicaja Malaga (19-13) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Niang cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points. CB Canarias was defeated 92-85 in Malaga by the higher-ranked Unicaja (#5). It was CB Canarias' first loss after five consecutive victories. Niang's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Niang has been at the team for four years. His total stats this season are: 2.4ppg and 1.6rpg.

   #6. Mouhamadou Diop (212-C-87, currently plays in Spain) led L'Hospitalet to a victory against the eighth-ranked Plasencia 66-58 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) last Saturday. Diop recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 10 rebounds. Diop has averaged so far 10.0ppg and 6.1rpg.

   #7. Fall El Hadji (210-C-92, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a 1-point Moron's victory against the 12th-ranked Tormes 81-80 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) in Saturday night's game. El Hadji recorded 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. El Hadji has averaged so far 7.6ppg and 6.1rpg. He has both Senegalese and Spanish nationalities. Despite El Hadji's Senegalese passport, he previously played for the Spanish U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Senegalese team.

   #8. Madiop Ndiaye (208-C/F-95, currently plays in France) couldn't help Feurs EF in their game against Etoile Angers in the French NM1 (third division). Ndiaye recorded 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. His team was crushed by 24 points 95-71. Ndiaye averaged so far 10.3ppg and 5.8rpg.

   #9. Papa Beye (202-F/C-90, currently plays in France) contributed to a La Charite's victory against the ninth-ranked Orchesien BC 90-83 in the French NM1 (third division) on Sunday night. He recorded 6 points in only 14 minutes. Beye averaged so far 11.6ppg and 6.1rpg in 33 games.

   #10. Malick Cisse (210-C-92, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Chantada in their game against Benicarlo in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). He cannot count Thursday's game as one of the best ones. Cisse recorded only 2 points. His team was edged 75-72. Cisse has averaged so far 1.8ppg and 1.6rpg.

Sapela Basket 13 (NM2) signed experienced 41-year old naturalized Senegalese power forward Mamadou Dia (201-104kg-78). He has played for the last thirteen seasons at Fos-Provence in ProB. Dia helped his team get promotion to Jeep ELITE ProA. In 33 ProB games he had 3.5ppg and 1.4rpg last season. NM2 will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. C.B. Torrons Vicens L'Hospitalet (LEB Silver) re-signed 31-year old Senegalese center Mouhamadou Diop (212-87). He played there last season. In 34 LEB Silver games he averaged 10.0ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.0apg and 1.0bpg. The previous (17-18) season Diop played at CB Universidad de Burgos where in 25 LEB Silver games he had very impressive stats: 17.0ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.1apg, 1.6spg and 1.4bpg. PAPA BEYE La Charite Basket 58 (NM1) confirmed in their roster 29-year old Senegalese power forward Papa Beye (202-90). He played there last season. In 34 NM1 games he had 12.0ppg and 5.9rpg. The most of previous (2017-18) season Beye spent at Charleville Mezieres (ProB) where in 19 games he recorded 7.3ppg and 3.5rpg. He also spent pre-season at ALM Evreux (ProB).
