We bring you last week's top performances from Senegalese players who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former international center Moussa Diagne (211-94, currently plays in Spain). Diagne could not help Andorra (11-12) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Andorra lost 62-66 on the road to the lower-ranked (#12) Burgos. Diagne had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting the same number of rebounds in 26 minutes on the court. This year Diagne averages: 7.0ppg, 5.4rpg, 2FGP: 57.0%(45-79) and FT: 76.8% in 22 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Senegalese and Spanish. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Diagne played for the Senegalese senior national team three years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Cheikh Mbodj (208-87, agency: Octagon Europe, college: Cincinnati, currently plays in Poland). Mbodj led Twarde Pierniki to a victory over the ninth-ranked Legia (10-11) 94-80 in the Polish EBL on Friday night. He was MVP of the game. Mbodj scored 19 points, had 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 21 minutes. Polski Cukier Torun (19-4) is placed first in the EBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Mbodj has relatively good stats this year: 12.4ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.3apg, 1.9bpg, 2FGP: 56.7%(106-187) and FT: 71.6% in 23 games. He is in the roster of the Senegalese senior national team.

   #3. The Senegalese player who performed third best last week abroad was former U18 international center Youssoupha Fall (221-95, currently plays in France). Fall was the main contributor in a SIG Strasbourg's victory against the closely-ranked Chalon/Saor (14-9) 92-77 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA in Saturday night's game. He was the best player in that game. Fall recorded 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. SIG Strasbourg (13-9) is placed seventh in the Jeep ELITE ProA. It's Fall's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Fall averages: 15.3ppg, 8.5rpg, 1.5bpg, 2FGP: 68.0%(119-175) and FT: 56.7%. He played for the Senegalese U18 national team seven years ago.

Point guard Clevin Hannah (179-87, agency: BeoBasket, college: Wichita St., currently plays in Spain) contributed to a Gran Canaria's victory against the closely-ranked CB Canarias (12-10) 90-86 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. Hannah was the top player that evening. He recorded 17 points (made all of his twelve free throws !!!). Herbalife Gran Canaria (11-10) is placed eighth in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This season Hannah has relatively solid stats: 11.1ppg, 1.9rpg and 3.7apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Senegalese and American. Hannah used to play for the Senegalese national team back in 2017.

International center Hamady N'Diaye (213-87, college: Rutgers, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Sidigas Avellino in a victory against the closely-ranked Openjobmetis VA (12-9) 76-71 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. He scored 5 points, had 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 18 minutes. Sidigas Avellino (13-8) is placed fourth in the Serie A. This year N'Diaye's overall stats are: 6.8ppg, 4.8rpg and 2.0bpg in 15 games. He has both Senegalese and Filipino nationalities. N'Diaye plays currently for the Senegalese national team.

He scored only 3 points, had 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd (21-1) is placed first in the ABA League. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. He scored 5 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks. The first-placed Unics Kazan (5-1) was defeated 68-59 in Krasnodar by the second-ranked Lokomotiv in the group H of Eurocup. Ndour's total stats this season are: 9.6ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.1bpg and 1.1spg. He is also Senegalese national team player.

Despite his very good performance Leuven Bears was crushed 97-64 on the opponent's court by the leading Oostende. Faye was the top scorer with 19 points. He also added 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Faye has reliable stats this season: 13.0ppg, 9.1rpg and 1.3apg. He used to play for the Senegalese national team back in 2016.

U18 international center Biram Faye (206-0, currently plays in Spain) helped Fontedoso Carrefour win their game against the ninth-ranked Menorca (11-14) 61-57 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Saturday night. He was the top player that evening. Faye recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 3 blocks. Avila Autentica Carrefour (11-14) is placed ninth in West group. Faye averaged so far 11.0ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.6bpg. He is also in the roster of the Senegalese U18 national team.

   #10. Center Pape Faye (200-87, currently plays in Japan) helped Osaka Evessa edge the second-ranked Kyoto Hannaryz (26-20) 77-75 in the Japanese B League in Saturday night's game. Faye was the top player that evening. He recorded 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 21 minutes. Osaka Evessa (18-28) is placed fourth in West group. This year Faye's total stats are: 8.6ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.1apg in 46 games. He is a former international player as two years ago he still played for the Senegalese senior national team.

   #11. International center Gorgui Dieng (211-90, college: Louisville, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the Minnesota Timberwolves in their game against the Utah Jazz in the NBA. He recorded 8 points in only 9 minutes. His team were badly defeated by 20 points 120-100 in the NBA. Dieng has averaged so far 5.5ppg and 4.0rpg in 63 games. He plays currently for the Senegalese national team.

   #12. Former U18 international power forward Ousmane Barro (207-84, college: Marquette, currently plays in Romania) helped CS Dinamo Bucuresti win their game against the sixth-ranked Constanta 85-73 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Saturday night's game. Barro recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 5 assists and 2 blocks. Barro averaged so far 13.4ppg, 9.1rpg, 1.7apg and 1.7spg. He used to play for the Senegalese U18 national team back in 2002.

   #13. Former U18 international power forward Cheikh Sane (207-92, college: Marshall, currently plays in Denmark) helped Horsens IC win their game against the fifth-ranked Randers 103-94 in the Danish BasketLigaen last Thursday. Sane scored 6 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 4 assists. Sane has averaged so far 6.2ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg. He used to play for the Senegalese U18 national team eleven years ago.

   #14. International point guard Xane d'Almeida (181-83, currently plays in France) was the major contributor in Charleville-Mezieres' victory against the third-ranked Kaysersberg 101-98 in the French NM1 (third division) in Saturday night's game. d'Almeida recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and making 12 passes. d'Almeida averaged so far 14.7ppg, 4.0rpg, 6.8apg and 1.3spg. He plays currently for the Senegalese national team.

   #15. International center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure, currently plays in France) couldn't help JL Bourg in their game against Olympique Antibes in the French Jeep ELITE ProA. Ndoye cannot count Friday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 37 minutes. His team lost 71-76. Ndoye's stats this year are: 14.1ppg, 8.4rpg and 1.4bpg in 19 games. He is also in the roster of the Senegalese national team.


The list of other players, who all have Senegalese passport but never been selected to any of Senegalese national teams:

   #1. Ilimane Diop (210-C-95, currently plays in Euroleague) led his Spanish team Baskonia to an easy victory against the 13th-ranked Khimki (9-17) 104-86 in the Euroleague last Friday. He recorded 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Kirolbet Baskonia Vitoria (14-12) is placed sixth in the Euroleague. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Diop's sixth season with the team. Diop's overall stats this year are: 4.7ppg and 2.9rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Senegalese and Spanish.

   #2. Amath M'Baye (206-F-89, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in Italy) could not help Virtus Bologna (10-11) in their last game. Despite M'Baye's good performance Virtus Bologna was edged 96-94 on the road by the higher-ranked (#8) MIA-RO Cantu. He scored 13 points in 32 minutes. It was Virtus Bologna's third consecutive loss in a row. This year M'Baye has relatively solid stats: 10.6ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.1apg in 21 games he played so far. He is another player who holds two passports: Senegalese and French.

   #3. Malik Dime (206-F/C-92, college: Washington, currently plays in Bulgaria) led Rilski to an easy victory against the league outsider Cherno More (2-15) 100-82 in the Bulgarian NBL on Saturday night. Dime recorded 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 20 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Rilski Sportist Samokov (10-7) is placed fourth in the NBL. Dime has reliable stats this year: 12.5ppg, 8.8rpg and 3.0bpg in eight games. He has both American and Senegalese nationalities.

   #4. Oumar Seck (208-C-88, currently plays in Qatar) was not able to help Al Arabi (10-6) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Seck's very good performance Al Arabi was edged 80-77 in a derby game by the second-ranked Al Shamal. He recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Seck also added 3 blocks. Seck has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.8ppg, 12.1rpg, 1.9apg and 1.2bpg.

   #5. Michel Diouf (208-C-89, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) contributed to Bakken's victory against the leader Ironi Nes-Ziona (4-2) 81-76 in the FIBA Europe Cup last Wednesday. Diouf had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks in 23 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group L. Bakken Bears (3-3) is placed second. Diouf is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Bakken's roster. Diouf has reliable stats this season: 12.1ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.6bpg in 14 games.

   #6. Lamine Diane (201-F-97, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to secure a victory for the CS Northridge (7-9) in their last game. Despite Diane's very good performance the CS Northridge lost 74-86 at home to the University of California-Irvine. He had a double-double by scoring 33 points and getting 18 rebounds in 35 minutes. Diane has very impressive stats this year: 24.7ppg, 11.3rpg, 2.0apg, 2.2bpg and 1.5spg in 32 games.

   #7. Khadim Sow (210-C-99, currently plays in EuroCup) couldn't help ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket in their game against Andorra in the Eurocup. He scored 6 points. His team was edged 82-80. Sow's total stats this season are: 1.3ppg and 1.5rpg.

   #8. Experienced Amadou Mbodji (211-F-86, college: Jacksonville St., currently plays in Africa Basketball League) led his Tunisian team ES Rades to a victory over the closely-ranked Defenders 96-80 in the Africa Basketball League on Saturday night. Mbodji was the top player that evening. He scored 26 points (!!!), grabbed 7 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 21 minutes. Mbodji has very impressive stats this year: 15.7ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.3bpg in three games. He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

   #9. Bira Seck (204-PF-90, agency: Interperformances, college: Idaho, currently plays in Japan) was the major contributor in a Tokyo Cinq Reves' victory against the closely-ranked Gifu Swoops 79-74 in the Japanese B League D3 last Saturday. Seck had a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 13 rebounds in 35 minutes. Seck's stats this year are: 14.1ppg, 8.1rpg and 1.9apg in 47 games.

   #10. Mamadou Niang (209-C-94, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) managed to help Iberostar Tenerife CB Canarias to win against the fourth-ranked Promitheas crushing them 79-57 in the Basketball Champions League last Wednesday. Niang scored only 2 points. Niang has averaged so far 5.5ppg and 3.4rpg.
