   #1. This week's number one is former international power forward Ibrahima Faye (207-97, currently plays in Belgium). He could not help Leuven Bears (3-11) in their last game. Despite Faye's very good performance Leuven Bears was badly defeated 87-67 on the road by the leading Basic-Fit Brussels. He was the top scorer with 23 points. Faye also added 9 rebounds in 28 minutes on the court. It was Leuven Bears' third consecutive loss in a row. Faye has relatively good stats this year: 12.2ppg, 9.1rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 51.8% and FT: 71.7% in 13 games he played so far. He played for the Senegalese senior national team three years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former international point guard Clevin Hannah (179-87, agency: BeoBasket, college: Wichita St., currently plays in Euroleague). Hannah was not able to help Gran Canaria in their game against CSKA (17-6) in the Euroleague. He scored 9 points. But Gran Canaria was crushed 107-85 in Moscow by the much higher-ranked CSKA (#3). It was Gran Canaria's eighth consecutive loss in a row. This season Hannah has relatively solid stats: 11.3ppg, 1.4rpg, 4.3apg, 1.2spg, 3FGP: 36.8% and FT: 91.4%(32-35). He has a dual citizenship: Senegalese and American. Hannah played for the Senegalese national team in 2017.

   #3. The Senegalese player who performed third best last week abroad was former U18 international center Papa Mbaye (209-90, currently plays in Spain). Mbaye was not able to secure a victory for Lleida Basquet (11-12) in their game against Palencia Baloncesto (13-9) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He recorded 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 22 minutes. But Lleida Basquet lost 77-81 on the opponent's court to the higher-ranked (#8) Palencia_Baloncesto. This year Mbaye averages: 7.7ppg, 4.0rpg, 2FGP: 54.8% and FT: 76.8% in 22 games. He played for the Senegalese U18 national team eleven years ago.

   #4. An experienced guard Ousmane Gueye (192-82, currently plays in Italy) led Chieti to an easy victory against the 15th-ranked Campli (0-21) crushing them 94-63 in the Italian Serie B (third division) in Sunday night's game. He recorded 13 points and added 3 passes. Teate Basket Chieti (15-6) is placed second in Group C. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. It's Gueye's first season with the team. Gueye has reliable stats this year: 11.0ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.7apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Senegalese and Italian. Gueye used to play for the Senegalese national team back in 2011.

Former international forward Modou Mbaye (202-94, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in Tarragona's victory against the fifth-ranked Mataro Feimat (11-6) 72-71 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Sunday night. He scored 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Ibersol C.B. Tarragona (14-3) is placed first in Group C-A. Mbaye's overall stats this season are: 7.8ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.4apg. He used to play for the Senegalese national team two years ago.

Point guard Xane d'Almeida (181-83, currently plays in France) led Charleville-Mezieres to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Recy Saint-Martin (7-17) crushing them 88-66 in the French NM1 (third division) last Saturday. He scored 12 points and added 7 passes. Etoile Charleville-Mezieres (10-14) is placed eighth in Group A. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. d'Almeida averaged so far 14.5ppg, 4.1rpg, 6.6apg and 1.3spg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Senegalese National Team roster.

   #7. International guard Lamine Sambe (188-89, currently plays in France) led Rueil to an easy victory against the second-ranked Toulouse (10-4) 107-92 in the French NM1 (third division) on Saturday night. Sambe scored 15 points and added 3 passes in 20 minutes. Rueil Athletic Club Basket (12-10) is placed seventh in Group B. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Sambe is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Rueil's roster. He averaged so far 15.0ppg, 2.8rpg, 5.7apg and 1.5spg in 22 games. Sambe is also Senegalese national team player.

   #8. Forward Moustapha Diop (203-89, currently plays in France) led Etoile Angers to a victory against the eighth-ranked Vitre (12-11) 80-75 in the French NM1 (third division) on Friday night. Diop scored 11 points in only a mere 13 minutes. Etoile Angers Basket (10-4) is placed third in Group B. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Diop's overall stats are: 4.7ppg and 3.0rpg in 21 games. He plays currently for the Senegalese national team.

   #9. U18 international center Biram Faye (206-0, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Fontedoso Carrefour (9-13) in their game against Zornotza (13-9) in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). Faye recorded only 4 points. The tenth-placed Fontedoso Carrefour (9-13) was edged 82-80 in Amorebieta-Echano by the much higher-ranked Zornotza (#3) in the West group. Faye averaged so far 10.6ppg, 7.7rpg and 1.4bpg. He is also in the roster of the Senegalese U18 national team.

   #10. Point guard Adama Adams (185-90, college: S.Carolina St., currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Tormes (5-17) in their game against Estela (13-9) in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). Adams cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only one point. Tormes (#12) was defeated 88-73 in Santander by the much higher-ranked Estela (#4) in the West group. It was Tormes' fourth consecutive loss in a row. Adams' total stats this season are: 5.3ppg and 1.9rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Senegalese National Team roster.

   #11. U18 international center Khadim Fall (205-0, currently plays in Spain) contributed to Caceres' victory against the seventh-ranked Cordobasket 77-66 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Saturday night. Fall scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 17 minutes. This year Fall's total stats are: 7.3ppg and 5.1rpg in 17 games. He plays currently for the Senegalese U18 national team.


The list of other players, who all have Senegalese passport but never been selected to any of Senegalese national teams:

   #1. Lamine Diane (201-F-97, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA could not help the CS Northridge (2-2) in their last game. Despite his very good performance his team lost 71-78 on the road to the California State University, Fullerton. Diane had a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 17 rebounds in 37 minutes. Diane has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 23.8ppg, 10.9rpg, 2.0apg, 2.2bpg and 1.5spg in 26 games he played so far.

   #2. Bira Seck (204-PF-90, agency: Interperformances, college: Idaho, currently plays in Japan) led Tokyo Cinq Reves to a 3-point victory over the closely-ranked Saitama Broncos (13-16) 87-84 in the Japanese B League D3 in Friday night's game. Seck was MVP of the game. He recorded 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Tokyo Cinq Reves (16-13) are placed fifth in the B League D3. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Seck has reliable stats this season: 13.4ppg, 7.7rpg and 2.0apg.

   #3. Tacko Fall (229-C-95, currently studies in the States) led Cent.Florida to a victory against the University of Memphis (2-2) 79-72 in the NCAA last Saturday. He scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 20 minutes. The University of Central Florida has 4-1 conference record this season. It's Fall's fourth year with the team. Fall has reliable stats this year: 10.4ppg, 6.8rpg and 2.7bpg in 25 games.

   #4. Abdou Thiam (204-F/C-98, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in Betanzos' victory against the seventh-ranked Leon (11-7) 89-85 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) on Sunday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 21 rebounds. Santo Domingo Betanzos (7-10) is placed ninth in Group A-B. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. This season Thiam has very high stats. He averages: 19.1ppg, 15.8rpg, 1.5bpg and 1.1spg.

   #5. Serigne Ndiaye (204-C-98, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a 2-point Quintanar's victory against the ninth-ranked Lanzarote (9-11) 69-67 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) last Saturday. Ndiaye scored 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Basket Globalcaja Quintanar (11-9) is placed sixth in Group B. Ndiaye has reliable stats this season: 13.8ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.1apg.

   #6. Wally Niang (206-C-96, currently plays in Sweden) was not able to help Wetterbygden in their game against Boras Basket in the Swedish Basketligan. He scored 9 points in 21 minutes. His team lost 79-84. Niang has reliable stats this year: 10.4ppg and 6.8rpg in 17 games.

   #7. Abdoulaye Gueye (206-F-94, is currently at the American university) contributed to a Georgia Tech's victory against the University of Pittsburgh 73-65 in the NCAA last Wednesday. He recorded 8 points and blocked 2 blocks in 16 minutes. This year Gueye's overall stats are: 7.0ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.1bpg in 25 games.

   #8. Madiaw Niang (206-F-98, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped Florida Atlantic win their game against the Rice University 60-41 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game. Niang scored 8 points, had 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 17 minutes. This year Niang's overall stats are: 2.6ppg and 3.5rpg in 25 games.

   #9. Diarra Sidate (210-F-90, currently plays in Japan) was not able to secure a victory for Cyberdyne IR in their game against Sendai 89ers in the Japanese B2 League. He recorded only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. His team were crushed by 22 points 99-77. Sidate's overall stats this season are: 3.8ppg and 3.9rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Senegalese and Japanese.

   #10. Boubacar Toure (211-C, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped E.Michigan win their game against the The University of Toledo 76-69 in the NCAA last Tuesday. Toure scored 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 20 minutes. This year his overall stats are: 9.1ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.4bpg in 25 games.
