FIBA Africa on Wednesday confirmed Senegal as the host country of the sixth and final window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 African Qualifiers. From February 22-24, the Senegalese will host in their capital city of Dakar the second leg of Group F, which includes Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire, Central African Republic, Rwanda and Mali. With Tunisia, Nigeria, and Angola already qualified for next year's 32-nation World Cup in China, the last two tickets on offer for African countries will be determined in Dakar. After winning three of their first round's six games in the old Marius Ndiaye stadium in Dakar in the June-July 2018 window of the African Qualifiers, Senegal has become the fourth African country - after Angola, Nigeria and Tunisia - to host a stage of the African Qualifiers on home soil. The six-nation tournament is expected to take place in the recently-launched new Dakar Arena, located on the outskirts of the Senegalese capital.
