   #1. This week's number one is former U18 international center Youssoupha Fall (221-95, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). He led his French team SIG Strasbourg to a victory over the closely-ranked BBC Bayreuth (4-5) 84-76 in the Basketball Champions League in Wednesday night's game. Fall was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 10 rebounds. Fall also added 4 blocks in 22 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. SIG Strasbourg (6-3) is placed second in the Basketball Champions League. Fall has relatively good stats this year: 12.3ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.7bpg, 2FGP: 61.1%(33-54) and FT: 62.5% in seven games he played so far. He played for the Senegalese U18 national team six years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Hamady N'Diaye (213-87, college: Rutgers, currently plays in Italy). N'Diaye could not help Sidigas AV (7-3) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance Sidigas AV was crushed 110-64 on the road by the lower-ranked Alma TR (#11). N'Diaye was the top scorer with 15 points. He also added 4 rebounds and 2 blocks. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year N'Diaye averages: 8.7ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.1bpg, 2FGP: 69.1%(38-55) and FT: 47.8%. He has a dual citizenship: Senegalese and Filipino. N'Diaye is in the roster of the Senegalese senior national team.

   #3. The Senegalese player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international forward Mouhammad Faye (207-85, college: SMU, currently plays in ABA League). Faye managed to help Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd in a victory against the closely-ranked Mega Bemax (7-4) 78-68 in the ABA League last Saturday. He scored 5 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 24 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd (12-0) is placed first in the ABA League. So far his team won all twelve games in the Regular Season. This year Faye's overall stats are: 8.9ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.3bpg, 2FGP: 84.4%(27-32), 3FGP: 32.1% and FT: 81.0% in 11 games. He is also a member of the Senegalese senior national team.

Center Gorgui Dieng (211-90, college: Louisville, currently plays in NBA) was the major contributor in a Minnesota Timberwolves' victory against the Sacramento Kings (17-15) crushing them 132-105 in the NBA in Monday night's game. Dieng scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 21 minutes. The Minnesota Timberwolves have 14-18 record this season. It's Dieng's sixth year with the team. This year his total stats are: 5.7ppg and 4.1rpg in 32 games. Dieng is also Senegalese national team player.

International center Cheikh Mbodj (208-87, agency: Octagon Europe, college: Cincinnati, currently plays in Poland) contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked GTK (4-6) 113-98 in the Polish EBL last Sunday. He recorded 13 points. Polski Cukier Torun (8-2) is placed third in the EBL. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Mbodj has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.1apg and 2.1bpg. He plays currently for the Senegalese national team.

Swingman Diouf Diouf (197-77, college: Delaware, currently plays in Japan) contributed to a Toshiba Thunders' victory against the second-ranked Diamond Dolphins (16-10) 101-91 in the Japanese B League in Saturday night's game. Diouf recorded 11 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. It was his first game for Toshiba Thunders this season. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Central. His team are placed third. It was Toshiba Thunders' fifth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Diouf is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his seventh year in Toshiba Thunders' roster. He is a former international player as he played for the Senegalese senior team eleven years ago.

International center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure, currently plays in France) helped JL Bourg win their game against the closely-ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (10-4) 78-65 in the French ProA last Friday. Ndoye recorded 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 35 minutes. JL Bourg Basket (11-3) is placed second in the ProA. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Ndoye has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.9ppg, 9.4rpg and 2.0bpg in 13 games. Ndoye is also Senegalese national team player.

   #8. Power forward Jules Aw (202-86, currently plays in Switzerland) helped Massagno win their game against the sixth-ranked Lakers (6-6) 98-83 in the Swiss SBL on Sunday night. He scored 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. SAM Basket Massagno (8-2) is placed first in the SBL. This season Aw has very high stats. He averages: 16.9ppg, 11.0rpg, 1.5apg and 2.3spg. Aw used to play for the Senegalese national team back in 2007.

   #9. Former international power forward Ibrahima Faye (207-97, currently plays in Belgium) was not able to help Leuven Bears (2-7) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Leuven Bears lost 64-77 in Charleroi to the second-ranked Spirou. Faye had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 13 rebounds in 24 minutes. It was Leuven Bears' third consecutive loss in a row. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Faye has reliable stats this year: 10.6ppg, 10.1rpg, 1.5apg and 1.3bpg in eight games. He used to play for the Senegalese national team two years ago.

Power forward Babacar Toure (205-85, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) helped his Swiss team Fribourg edge the closely-ranked BK Opava (1-8) 77-76 in the Basketball Champions League last Wednesday. Toure recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 11 rebounds. Fribourg Olympic (2-7) is placed seventh in the Basketball Champions League. This season Toure has very high stats. He averages: 16.0ppg, 10.4rpg and 2.8apg. Toure is a former international player as four years ago he still played for the Senegalese senior national team.

   #11. Former international center Moussa Diagne (211-94, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Andorra in their game against Gipuzkoa in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Diagne scored only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 20 minutes. His team lost 76-87. Diagne has averaged so far 6.2ppg and 4.8rpg in 12 games. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. He used to play for the Senegalese national team two years ago.

   #12. Former international center Bamba Fall (217-86, college: SMU, currently plays in Latvia) couldn't help TLU/Kalev in their game against Ventspils in the Latvian LatEstBL. Fall scored 7 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 24 minutes. His team lost 68-80. Fall's stats this year are: 10.7ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.6bpg in 14 games. He used to play for the Senegalese national team back in 2007.

   #13. International center Pape Faye (200-87, currently plays in Japan) couldn't help Osaka Evessa (9-16) in their last game. Despite Faye's good performance the fourth-placed Osaka Evessa was edged 60-59 in Yokohama by the lower-ranked (#6) Yokohama BC in the West group. He was the second best scorer with 12 points. Faye also added 4 rebounds in a mere 15 minutes. Faye has averaged so far 9.0ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.2apg in 25 games. He used to play for the Senegalese national team last year.

   #14. International forward Ibrahima Thomas (213-87, college: Cincinnati, currently plays in Lebanon) helped Hoops Club win their game against the closely-ranked Beirut Club 77-68 in a derby game in the Lebanese LBL in Friday night's game. He scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Thomas' stats this season are: 14.0ppg, 10.8rpg, 1.3bpg and 1.3spg. He plays currently for the Senegalese national team.

   #15. International guard Lamine Sambe (188-89, currently plays in France) was the main contributor in Rueil's victory against the fourth-ranked STB Le Havre 96-87 in the French NM1 (third division) on Tuesday night. He was the best player in that game. Sambe scored 20 points, made 7 passes and 3 steals. This season Sambe has very high stats. He averages: 15.4ppg, 2.9rpg, 5.9apg and 1.5spg. Sambe is also in the roster of the Senegalese national team.


The list of other players, who all have Senegalese passport but never been selected to any of Senegalese national teams:

   #1. Amath M'Baye (206-F-89, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) could not help Virtus Bologna (7-2) in their last game. Despite his good performance the league leader Virtus Bologna was edged 77-76 on the road by the lower-ranked (#7) Oostende. M'Baye scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 26 minutes. This year M'Baye has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1bpg in nine games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Senegalese and French.

   #2. Ilimane Diop (210-C-95, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to Baskonia's victory against the closely-ranked Gran Canaria (5-9) 84-71 in the Euroleague in Tuesday night's game. Diop recorded 10 points. Kirolbet Baskonia Vitoria (6-8) is placed tenth in the Euroleague. His team will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Diop's sixth season with the team. Diop's overall stats this year are: 4.6ppg and 2.8rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Senegalese and Spanish.

   #3. Mamadou Niang (209-C-94, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) contributed to an CB Canarias' victory against the fifth-ranked JSF Nanterre (4-5) 79-68 in the Basketball Champions League on Tuesday night. Niang scored 8 points. Iberostar Tenerife CB Canarias (8-1) is placed first in the Basketball Champions League. It was CB Canarias' sixth consecutive victory in a row. It's Niang's fourth season with the team. His total stats this year are: 5.9ppg and 2.9rpg.

   #4. Michel Diouf (208-C-89, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) was the major contributor in Bakken's victory against the closely-ranked Joensuun Kataja (1-1) 104-89 in the FIBA Europe Cup on Wednesday night. Diouf scored 16 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 21 minutes. Bakken Bears (1-1) is placed second in group L. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the FIBA Europe Cup Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Diouf is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Bakken's roster. He has reliable stats this season: 12.5ppg and 4.5rpg in eight games.

   #5. Alioune Badara Ndoye (199-F-86, currently plays in Qatar) was not able to help Al Rayyan in their game against Al Sadd (1-0) in the Qatari D1. Ndoye recorded 8 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Al Rayyan was crushed 91-54 in a derby game by the higher-ranked Al Sadd (#4). Ndoye has averaged so far 6.2ppg and 4.8rpg. He has both Senegalese and Qatari nationalities. Despite Ndoye's Senegalese passport, he previously played for the Qatari military national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Senegalese team.

   #6. Lamine Diane (201-F-97, currently plays college basketball in the States) was not able to secure a victory for the CS Northridge in their game against the New Mexico State University in the NCAA. Despite his very good performance on Wednesday night Diane recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks. Diane has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 24.6ppg, 10.2rpg, 1.6apg, 2.3bpg and 1.6spg.

   #7. Oumar Seck (208-C-88, currently plays in Qatar) led Al Arabi to a 3-point victory over one of league's weakest teams Al Ahli 97-94 in a derby game in the Qatari D1 last Saturday. Seck was the best player in that game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 10 rebounds. Seck also added 4 assists. Seck has averaged so far 9.0ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.2apg.

   #8. Tacko Fall (229-C-95, currently studies in the States) led Cent.Florida to an easy victory against the Illinois State University crushing them 77-56 in the NCAA on Friday night. He had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 12 rebounds in 27 minutes. Fall averaged so far 10.7ppg, 6.9rpg and 3.3bpg in 12 games.

   #9. Makhtar Gueye (208-F-97, is currently at the American university) led UAB to an easy victory against the Alcorn State University crushing them 76-49 in the NCAA last Tuesday. Gueye recorded 15 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 27 minutes. Gueye has averaged so far 6.8ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.4apg in 11 games.

   #10. Bira Seck (204-PF-90, agency: Interperformances, college: Idaho, currently plays in Japan) couldn't help Tokyo Cinq Reves in their game against Saitama Broncos in the Japanese B League D3. Despite his very good performance last Saturday He scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Seck averaged so far 13.0ppg, 7.4rpg and 1.7apg.

AS Douanes clinched SuperCup title as they defeated Saint Louis Basket Club last night. In a real thriller at the court AS Douanes grabbed a valuable 61-59 win. The board showed 36-30 advantage at the halftime, while the final score proved the great effort and achievement from both sides.
