Talented Cameroonian Valentin Lele (185-SG-2004) had a great game in the last round for United Generation Basketball Kigali and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 21-year old shooting guard had the game-high 25 points adding five rebounds and eight assists for UGB in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Inspired Gen. (#9, 0-13) with 48-point margin 112-64. UGB maintains the 6th position in Rwandan RBL. UGB is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-5 record. In the team's last game Lele had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at UGB, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Lele has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 16.4ppg), assists (4th best: 5.6apg) and averages solid 2.3spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Jarode Aworet (2001) of Azomco. Aworet impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Azomco lost that game 89-97 to the higher-ranked REG (#2, 8-3). Azomco managed to keep the same 8th spot in the standings. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Azomco managed to get this year. Aworet is a newcomer at Azomco and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another UGB's star - Ghanian James Amotoe (1998). Amotoe showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. He was another key player of United Generation Basketball Kigali, helping his team with a 112-64 easy win against Inspired Gen. (#9, 0-13). UGB needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 5 lost games. Amotoe has a great season in Rwanda. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.6ppg (2nd best) and assists with 4.7apg (7th best). He also has 2.6spg and a FGP of 52.1%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Frank Betoudji (201-F-1998) of REG - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Furaha Cadeaux de Dieu (203-F-1998) of REG - 9 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Samuel Asiribo) of Inspired Gen. - 16 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Malik Matsouka) of Azomco - 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Enock Isezerano (SG-1995) of REG - 12 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Prince Muhizi (200-SF-1996) of REG - 11 points and 6 rebounds
10. Didier Nsabimana) of Azomco - 13 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
