Hason Ward is a newcomer at Venezia

Umana Reyer Venezia (Serie A) strengthened their roster with the addition of 25-year-old Rwandan-Barbados international 206cm forward Hason Ward (college: Iowa State). He started the season at Maine Celtics (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 45 games, he recorded 9.6ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.7apg, and 1.6bpg. He has been regularly called to the Rwandan Senior National Team since 2025.
Ward is a very experienced player, having played professionally in Canada (Shooting Stars), Barbados (Lakers), NBA Summer League (OKC Thunder), and Canada.
Among many awards, his team made it to the NBA G League Semifinals in 2025. Ward was voted to the Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team back in 2021 during his college time.
He graduated from Iowa State in 2024 and is in his second season in pro basketball. Ward played for Virginia Commonwealth University for 3 years.
