26-year old American guard Damaria Franklin (190-G-1999) had a great game in the last round for Patriots Basketball Club Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat REG (#3, 5-2) 85-78. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Patriots is placed at 4th position in Rwandan league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Patriots will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. In the team's last game Franklin had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Patriots, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Memphis graduate has very impressive stats this year. Franklin is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.1ppg) and averages solid 2.1spg and 56.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jean Mouandjo (200-F-2003) of Inspired Generation. He is Cameroonian forward in his first season at Inspired Gen.. In the last game Mouandjo recorded an impressive double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Inspired Gen. lost that game 67-97 to the higher-ranked EAU (#5, 3-3). Inspired Gen. are still at the very bottom. 7 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Mouandjo is one of the most experienced players at Inspired Gen. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.2ppg (#5). He also registered 14.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to James Amotoe (1998) of United Generation Basketball Kigali (#7). Amotoe got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . Despite Amotoe's great performance the UGB lost 85-90 to the higher-ranked APR (#1, 6-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of UGB ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Amotoe could help UGB to bring them higher in the standings. Amotoe has a great season in Rwanda. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.7ppg (best scorer) and assists with 4.3apg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mohamed Doumbya (202-F-1997) of UGB - 25 points and 11 rebounds
5. Kenny Manzi (201-F-2004) of Kepler - 22 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Jeffery Stubbs (189-PG-1991) of Patriots - 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Frank Betoudji (201-F-1998) of REG - 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
