DR Congolese Frank Betoudji (201-F-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Rwanda Energy Group Kigali and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 27-year old forward had the game-high 15 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for REG in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Kepler (#6, 3-4) 70-67. Thanks to this victory REG moved-up to the 3rd position in Rwandan RBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. REG will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. Betoudji just recently signed at REG, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Betoudji has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.4ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 10.9rpg) and averages solid 2.0bpg and 52.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Jamaican guard Jabs Newby (188-G-1991) of Kepler BBC Kigali. Newby impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Kepler was edged by the higher-ranked REG (#3, 5-2) 70-67. Despite lost game Kepler moved up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Newby is a newcomer at Kepler and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Canadian Jean-Victor Mukama (203-G-1994) of top-ranked APR Basketball Club Kigali. Mukama scored 15 points and passed 4 assists. He was a key player of APR, leading his team to a 78-75 win against #4 ranked Patriots in a game of the week. APR confirms their top position in the standings. Mukama has a great season in Rwanda. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 3.9apg (8th best). He also has 2.1spg, a FGP of 53.1% and 3PT: 42.1%. Jean-Victor Mukama has also Rwandan passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
