Chingka Garba gets MVP of the Week award for Rwandan RBL

Naturalized Nigerian Chingka Garba (201-F-2001) had a very impressive game in the last round for Patriots Basketball Club Kigali and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 24-year old forward had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team UGB (#8, 0-3) with 17-point margin 87-70. Patriots is placed at 5th position in Rwandan RBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Patriots will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. Garba just recently signed at Patriots, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Chingka Garba averages just after three games 14.0ppg and 9.0rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Ghanian James Amotoe (1998) of United Generation Basketball Kigali. Amotoe impressed basketball fans with 32 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as UGB lost that game 70-87 to the higher-ranked Patriots (#5, 2-1). UGB managed to keep the same 8th spot in the standings. 3 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Amotoe is a newcomer at UGB and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.0ppg (#1). He also registered 8.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was DR Congolese Pitchou Kambuyi (208-C-1988) of Tigers BB Kigali (#3). Kambuyi scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Kambuyi's great performance the Tigers lost 55-69 to #2 ranked REG. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Tigers needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Kambuyi has a very solid season. In 4 games in Rwanda he scored 8.0ppg.
