Cape Verde - Rwanda 75-62

Cape Verde defeated Rwanda 75-62 on Sunday to stay in contention for a spot in the 2025 AfroBasket quarterfinals. They improved to a 2-1 record, whilst Rwanda ended up with a 0-3 record. Rwanda joined three other teams — Madagascar, Uganda, and Libya — who were eliminated after the group phase.
Joel Almeida (193-SF-1985, college: Brockport St.) top-scored for the winners with 17 points, whilst Kenneti Mendes (203-C-1990), Betinho Gomes (201-PF-1985) and Patrick Lima added 10 each. Prince Twa (180-PG-2004) and Dieudonne Ndayisaba Ndizeye replied with 13 points each in a loss.
