REG outrebounded UGB 44-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. American guard Cleveland Thomas (192-1993, college: WKU, agency: Slash Sports) nailed 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Senegalese point guard Jean-Jacques Boissy (183-2000) accounted for 19 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. French-Central African power forward Steven-Emile Perriere (203-1995, college: LMU) came up with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Burundian center Mohamed Doumbya (-1997) added 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for UGB in the defeat. Five UGB players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

American guard Isaiah Williams (188-1995, college: Georgia St., agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 16 points and 6 assists for the winners and international forward Furaha Cadeaux de Dieu (203-1998, college: UAFS, agency: Remy Munyaneza) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Patriots players scored in double figures. At the losing side international point guard Antino Jackson (182-1996, college: N.Mexico) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese center Youssou Ndoye (213-1991, college: St.Bonaventure) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. APR's coach James Maye rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
