The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of APR (15-1) in Kigali on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Patriots (9-5) 71-62. It ended at the same time the 15-game winning streak of APR. Patriots made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American point guard Elliott Cole (180-1994, college: Charleston) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 6 assists. International forward Furaha Cadeaux de Dieu (203-1998, college: UAFS, agency: Remy Munyaneza) contributed with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Mali forward Aliou Diarra (200-2001) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks for APR. APR's coach James Maye rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Patriots maintains third position with 9-5 record having eight points less than leader APR.
