36-year old DR Congolese center Pitchou Kambuyi (208-C-1988) had a great game in the last round for Tigers BB Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 25 rebounds, while his team crushed Kepler (#7, 3-6) with 22-point margin 76-54. Tigers is placed at 5th position in Rwandan league. Tigers is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-5 record. In the team's last game Kambuyi had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Tigers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Kambuyi has impressive league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 16.7rpg. Kambuyi is in league's top in and averages solid 2.1bpg and 57.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Damaria Franklin (190-G-1999) of Azomco. He is American guard in his first season at Azomco. In the last game Franklin recorded an impressive double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Azomco cruised to a 71-59 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked UGB (#4, 4-5). Azomco's 8th position in the standings has not changed. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Azomco managed to get this year. Franklin is one of the most experienced players at Azomco and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.8ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 7.9rpg and 3.1apg.

Third place about best performers goes to center Mohamed Doumbya (C-1997) of United Generation Basketball Kigali (#4). Doumbya showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 16 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Doumbya's great performance the UGB lost 59-71 to the lower-ranked Azomco (#8, 2-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of UGB ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 5 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Doumbya could help UGB to bring them higher in the standings. Doumbya has a great season in Rwanda. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.9ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 10.1rpg (6th best). He also has 3.3spg and a FGP of 61.8%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. David Nickelberry (201-G/F-1998) of Tigers - 22 points and 5 rebounds
5. Richard Bizimungu) of Azomco - 16 points and 14 rebounds
6. Jarode Aworet (2001) of Azomco - 3 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Elie Kaje (198-C/F-1995) of Kepler - 7 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Steven-Emile Perriere (203-C/F-1995) of UGB - 1 point, 14 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
