Mali Aliou Diarra (200-F-2001) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader APR Basketball Club Kigali and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 23-year old forward had a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds, while his team outclassed Espoir (#9, 1-9) with 27-point margin 91-64. It allowed APR to consolidate first place in the Rwandan RBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and APR still have not lost a single game, getting all 11 victories. In the team's last game Diarra had a remarkable 90.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be APR's top player in his first season with the team. Diarra has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 19.3ppg), rebounds (6th best: 10.0rpg) and averages solid 2.2bpg and 75.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was center Betoudji Kamndoh (C) of Patriots Basketball Club Kigali. Kamndoh impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Patriots was edged by slightly higher-ranked REG (#2, 8-1) 79-77. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Patriots still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 6-3 record is not bad at all. Kamndoh is a newcomer at Patriots and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Damaria Franklin (190-G-1999) of Azomco (#8). Franklin got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for seventeen rebounds . He was a key player of Azomco, leading his team to a 89-87 win against the higher-ranked Kepler (#5, 3-5). Franklin has individually a great season in Rwanda. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.7ppg (2nd best). He also has 2.3spg and 1.6bpg.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
