Shooting guard Kennedy Garba (SG) put on an amazing game in the last round for Orion Kigali, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The player had a double-double of 28 points and 29 rebounds, while his team outclassed Espoir (#8, 1-7) with 27-point margin 90-63. Orion maintains the 7th position in Rwandan RBL. Orion is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-5 record. Garba just recently signed at Orion, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Kennedy Garba has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.0ppg and leads league in rebounds with 16.9rpg. Garba is in league's top in and averages impressive 2.0bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Mali Aliou Diarra (200-F-2001) of league's leader APR Basketball Club Kigali. Diarra had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds. It was enough for APR to edge slightly lower-ranked Patriots (#3, 5-2) 68-67. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. APR consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. He plays for the best team in the league and APR managed to win all 8 games keeping a perfect record. Diarra is a newcomer at APR, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#6). He also registered 9.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Orion's star - Cameroonian forward Engelbert Beleck (192-PF-1998). Beleck showcased his all-around game by recording 12 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 8 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Orion Kigali, helping his team with a 90-63 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Espoir (#8, 1-7). The chances of Orion not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Beleck could try to bring Orion's a little bit higher in the standings. Beleck has a very solid season. In 7 games in Rwanda he scored 12.9ppg. He also has 7.0rpg, 3.3apg and 2.1spg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jeffery Stubbs (189-PG-1991) of Orion - 26 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Ronald Nato (199-F-1992) of Patriots - 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Steven Hagumintwari (198-PF-1993) of Patriots - 13 points and 7 rebounds
7. Fortunate Mwanawabene (C-1998) of Espoir - 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Fabrice Muhoza (SG) of Espoir - 8 points and 9 rebounds
9. Ntore Habimana (196-1997) of APR - 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Alex Mpoyo (203-1997) of APR - 5 points and 8 rebounds

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
