Garba's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Shooting guard Kennedy Garba (SG) had an amazing evening in the last round for Orion Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 32 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Azomco (#9, 0-7), the league's bottom-ranked team 87-84. Orion maintains the 7th position in Rwandan league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 5 games and recorded just two victories. Garba just recently signed at Orion, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Garba has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 21.1ppg) and averages solid 1.7bpg.

Second best performed player last round was Pitchou Kambuyi (208-C-1988) of Tigers BB Kigali. He is DR Congolese center in his first season at Tigers. In the last game Kambuyi recorded an impressive double-double of 17 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Tigers was edged by slightly higher-ranked UGB (#4, 4-3) 76-75. This loss caused Tigers to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Kambuyi is one of the most experienced players at Tigers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Mohamed Doumbya (C-1997) of United Generation Basketball Kigali (#4). Doumbya showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of UGB, leading his team to a 64-62 win against the lower-ranked Espoir (#8, 1-6). UGB needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 3 lost games. Doumbya has a great season in Rwanda. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.6ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 9.0rpg (6th best). He also has 3.6spg and a FGP of 68.2%.
