Rwanda are back at AfroBasket for the 4th consecutive time beating Gabon 81-71 in the Qualifiers.
Rwanda started with a 24-18 lead never looked behind. Ntore Habimana (196-1997, college: Laurier) led the way with 18 points and Alex Mpoyo (203-1997, college: GSU) added 30 as Rwanda finished 2-4 in Group C. Daniel Quentin Akoue (211-F-2005) answered with 18 points in the losing effort and Mardochee Sambou (198-G/F-1999, college: Victor Valley, agency: Highlight Athletes) had 14. Chris Silva (206-PF-1996, college: S.Carolina) netted 13 and collected 16 rebounds, whilst Dolivitch Moupomo (200-PF-1999) poured in 12. Gabon ended up with 0-6 record.
